Yes, broccoli is safe for hamsters to eat. In fact all hamster breeds can enjoy a small piece of broccoli from time to time. Please be aware like all vegetables hamsters can only eat these in moderation. If you want to feed your hamster this type of vegetable please only do so no more than 2 times a week. So it’s best to keep it that way. You should see this vegetable as more of a healthy snack that your hamster can sit down and enjoy twice a week.

If you want to feed your hamster this vegetable we recommend you do it no more than twice a week and the portion size needs to be smaller than your hamster head. Please note broccoli can start to smell pretty quick, so if your hamster doesn’t eat it fast, expect the broccoli smell to start wafting over.

If you are going to feed your hamster this super vegetable we recommend you wash it thoroughly before giving it to your little fury friend. This is to ensure no pesticides are any other nasties are still on the food.
