However there are a few precautions you should take when giving your hamsters mango. Mangoes can be hard and rough, so ensure you cut them up into small bite size pieces so your hamster doesn’t have any risk of choking.

Another point to make is the riper the mango the sweeter the insides. Too much sugar can cause issues to your hamsters health. So if you are going to purchase a mango for your hamster ensure it’s not too ripe. You can always feed the raw mango too, this is just as good. But please remember to feed in moderation!

Whenever you introduce new foods into your hamsters diet it is best that you introduce them steadily. So try your hamster with a small piece of mango. See why they do with, every hamster is unique.
