So Is It Safe To Feed My Hamsters Peaches?

Yes, if fed in moderation. Hamsters do love to chow down on peaches. But one thing to take into consideration, like all fruits is they contain a lot of sugar. High amounts of sugar are bad for your fury friend so you should closely monitor their intake of fruits. Stick to 1 or 2 small pieces of fruit a week to ensure they don’t eat too much.

Peaches contain a wide selection of vitamins and minerals that can help your hamster live a full long life, if feed appropriately and in moderation. Please note when feeding your hamsters this super fruit you need to ensure it is washed and de seeded. Your hamster will not want to eat the see of a peach.

Like all new foods being added to a hamsters diet. You need to introduce them slowly and careful. Some hamsters may or may not like this new type of fruit. Once they have eaten a small piece of peach leave it 48 hours and monitor their symptoms. If they carry on like normal it’s normally safe to say they can each peaches as part of a balanced diet.

If however you notice any problems and these problems seem to get worse, don’t feed your hamster anymore of this fruit and take them to the vat for further checks.

Peaches are normally safe for hamsters of all shapes and sizes but like us humans some people can be allergic or have bad reactions to certain food. That is why we recommend you feed them a hamster morsel size.

Please be aware that with any fresh food you give your hamster, you need to ensure it is removed from the cage after 24 hours to make sure it doesn’t spoil. Hamsters are insane hoarders and will literally horde anything. Last thing you want is mouldy food in your hamsters house.
